Thamonic is defined by a large amount of allophony and a moderately complex possible syllable structure.

Plosives become fricatives unless they're at the beginning of a word, or part of fricative-plosive clusters (Though, it is possible to turn a plosive into a fricative if it's at the beginning of a word starting a consonant cluster). All consonants become voiced intervocalically, and devoiced word-finally (though this does not apply to nasals).
