In order to maintain a consistent style, all pages in the Kingdom of Yivotia Wiki must follow a set of guidelines. These guidelines are generally loose and should not cause difficulty when creating or editing a page.

Language

In most cases, pages must be written in English and translated to any relevant Yivotian languages. As it is the national language of Yivotia, Iradic is always considered a relevant language. Pages about national topics (e.g the government or major historical events) should be translated to all official languages of Yivotia. Links to the translated versions of pages should be at the top of the article. See the Main Page for an example of translation links.

English Dialect

The English language has multiple dialects and standards of spelling. All pages should be written using British English and use non-Oxford spelling.

Exceptions

Meta pages

Meta pages (pages about out-of-world content, e.g policy pages or pages about the structure of the project) do not need to be translated into other languages and may only be written in English.

Pages including but not about meta content

Pages where the topic is not about meta content but has section(s) that reference meta content must be translated into applicable Yivotian languages but the meta content does not need to be translated.
